Can you guarantee that plan will raise capital?

Obviously not. Nobody can assure you of that. Strong planning is essential, but it won’t be sufficient to obtain finance. We will make every attempt to help you prepare, but we have no control over how you present yourself to investors or how well you answer their questions. Although we may offer you guidance and coaching, it is ultimately your job to close the transaction.

What does KP Patel CPA Consulting do?

We support business owners as they prepare to raise money. Most frequently, these include some or all of the following services:
Development of a business plan, creation of financial projections, creation of a strategy, investigation and analysis of the market and competitors, investigation and analysis of financial data, general coaching and advising services, and capital formation strategy.

Can you help us raise money?

Sometimes, we can introduce potential investors or other middlemen informally. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licence is required in most cases for brokers to properly arrange financing (see Beware of Finders in our Blog). Before hiring any “finder,” please make sure they are properly licenced with FINRA and consult with legal counsel. If you don’t, you and your business could be held heavily liable.

Do we really need a business plan?

The answer is probably safe to be yes if you own a firm. It’s possible that you’ll need more than one business plan—one for securing funding and another for managing your company. The first is a brief, digestible strategic document that aims to convince potential investors to call and extend an invitation for a first meeting to their offices. The latter is a more in-depth document acting as a daily roadmap and outlining the methods supporting your overarching plan.

What makes your business plans so special?

Above all, they are functional. In a world where fewer than 1 out of every 250 company plans ever obtain venture money, we are pleased to inform that about half of our plans have done so, and a sizable fraction of the others have either been acquired or currently have commitments for investment from prior round investors. Every plan is individually created to take into account the unique circumstances of the customer while retaining qualities that attract investors.

What makes your financial projection special?

Balanced financial statements. Balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows that are connected. The ability to perform what-if analyses is fully assumption-driven. Are you worth the money?

We are fully aware that there are numerous inexpensive business plan consultants who provide their services for less than $5,000. Some of these consultants provide excellent work, but the majority of their customers are small businesses looking for bank and SBA loans rather than venture money.
